The MVI - MDV4 is a high performance video distribution amplifier. This unit is commonly used to amplify and split the video signal from one source to several monitors, modulators or other devices. The MDV4 is a 1-In 4-Out video distribution amplifier / line driver with automatic gain control. While the MDV4 is most often used with NTSC, PAL or SECAM composite video signals, it offers extremely wide bandpass characteristics and is also compatible with higher resolution signals up to 100 MHz. The MDV4 loop output connector provides a passive loop-through signal. This can be looped through to additional amplifiers to add more distribution amplifiers or to drive a local monitor (terminated). Since this is a high impedance, passive loop-through signal, the signal can be looped through as many video amplifiers needed to create the desired total number of outputs. The MDV4 is designed to extend video signals down longer video cable runs than would be possible without amplification or equalization. Used with NTSC / PAL / SECAM composite video signals the MDV4 offers high performance in a rugged extruded aluminum construction. Video distribution and line driving capabilities suit it to a wide variety of applications including surveillance cameras, audiovisual installations, medical imaging, military simulation and industrial video. This all adds up to "Technology at your Fingertips".
